About Carla Maxine
Carla Maxine has been passionate about creating jewellery for as long as she can remember. The art of adornment and the stories these jewels tell when they are passed from generation to generation is just fascinating. Stories of promises, of love, of happiness and sorrow. As a bespoke jewellery designer she considers her role in this storytelling and transfer of heirlooms a privilege.

All About My Story
I've been designing and making jewellery since the age of 14. By 16, I had launched a jewellery design business that was exporting to the UK and USA. In 2011, I completed a BA in Visual Arts (Creative Jewellery Design and Metal Techniques) at the University of Stellenbosch. In 2012, I embarked on an internship at a contemporary jewellery gallery in Amsterdam, whilst on an exchange program with the University of Amsterdam as part of my Masters degree.
I now live in Noosa, Australia where I continue to design and create my quirky yet beautiful pieces of contemporary jewellery from my studio.
At Carla Maxine we create luxury jewellery for women and men who want to make a statement with their jewels, using only the highest quality and ethically sourced rare gemstones and the finest metals.

“A piece of Jewellery is not just an accessory. Your jewels tell your story. Being a part of the intimate process of creating custom jewellery is a great privilege to me; be it an engagement ring, a re-designed heirloom piece or a gift with meaning.”
